About Discovery Thank you for your interest in DISCOVERY Piano Studio.  Below is a list of highlights and important facts that will give you an overview of our services.

Christina Dorinsky graduated from The Ohio State University in 1989 with both a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelor of Music Education.  There she studied primarily under both Dr. Rosemary Platt and Andre Laplante.  She has been teaching private piano lessons since 1988 and also taught general music (K-8).  She’s a member of the National Piano Guild and plays regularly at the Thai Orchid Restaurant on Friday evenings.  Along with being mom to 4 children, she also enjoys reading, cooking, walking and other outdoor activities, and is a member of Linworth Road Church. Jim Dorinsky graduated from The Ohio State University in 1989 with both a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Audio Recording.  There he studied under Dr. Rosemary Platt and Richard Tetley- Kardos.  He has been teaching private piano lessons since 1991. In addition to managing the piano studio, he also enjoys handyman projects, sports, fishing and boating.  He is also a member of Linworth Road Church.
